It's March. A typical time for Photography bookings to be slow. After a few weeks of no phone calls or inquiries, friday I was feeling especially discouraged.
"Is my work any good?"
"Does it not have purpose and meaning?"
"Should I move on to another venture?"
"Is the love and passion I TRY to show even coming across?"
"Why isn't this working?"
And then Holly, a photographer I don't even know, left me this blog comment:
"
I stumbled upon your blog through a series of random links, but just wanted to say I LOVE your images, your writing style, your 'voice' ... it's all very beautiful and very REAL. I can relate to so much of it. Thx for articulating all the voices in my head! ;-) Keep creating ... it's obviously one of the things you were meant to do. :-)."

Thank you Holly, for reminding that creation is what I was meant to do.
That line immediately made me think of this video below. It is applicable to everyone, whether you are LDS or not.
We were all meant to create, and we have been given that ability and the means to achieve it to better our lives.

Oh my goodness, you brought me to tears! Happy tears, of course. ;-) The surprise and delight of finding this in my google reader this afternoon MADE.MY.DAY. So unexpected, so kind, so lovely in every way. I truly meant every word I said and, if I'm really lucky, one of these days we'll get to 'do lunch' together. 'Til then, I'll keep enjoying your beautiful thoughts & images via this wonderfully wacky world wide web. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness. :-)
